Can a Resident of NYC Not Intern in NJ?

Hi:

I just called the NJ Board of Pharmacy. Apparantly, if I understood them correctly, if I live in Queens, NYC (which I do) I cannot intern in NJ. Also, I cannot intern in NYC and have those hours counted in NJ.

Is all this true or was the woman on the phone sleeping? Please help! I am sure others have been in similar situations.

the information you got is not true.u can do thy internship ,it doesnt matter were u live

I agree with bkk1377, you can do your internship anywhere you want. Your place of residence should not matter.

By the way, we're in the same position. I live in Valley Stream and waiting for reply from Walgreens regarding Internship in NJ.

Any luck finding hours in NJ?

NJ policy changed since august 3rd, too bad..., do you know any other states have the simliar policy as old NJ intern policy ie. not need to live in or intern in original state?
