Hey guys,
Im very frustrated with this internship thing. I am an American citizen, finished my Toefl and FPGEE In 2008 with good scores, but cant manage to find an internship anywhere! I had no idea it would be this hard! I thought it was training, and supposed to be made available to us. Anyways, I did get some inside info from a guy that works at rite aid and apparently theres certain times of the year where they start looking for interns, because theres only so many foreign pharmacists they can take. Does anyone know when Walgreens, or CVS will be hiring. I have tried to contact the district manager of CVS for like 3 weeks now , and theres no answer! Its riduculous. I would appreciate any help I get. By the way Im in Cincinnati Oh , but anyplace where theres leads is fine. Thanks guys

Hi!Try to apply during the first quarter of each year.That´s when most companies entertain applications from graduates (foreign and local).Just some advices: Get Intern Licenses from two or three states where you plan or willing to work. Be ready with all your documents before applying.Send the ff: resume,fpgec,fpgee score report,intern licenses(all of them).Start sending them the first day of January.Be flexible.

Thank you for your reply. I never thought about getting intern licsenses from other states too. I thought that you could probably just get one liscense by showing another! Do you have any idea how I would get a background check from another state though?

Is anybody from TN .I'm trying to find as 2 how 2 go about getting an intern license but the site is not having any thing like that.If any body would guide me ,it would be highly appreciated.

Hey,

What I've heard is that TN doesnt require liscensure. I'm not 100% positive, but Im like 98% sure I read that in one of these message boards.

Tennessee does not License or Register Interns.This includes Foreign Graduates.

hi! i am also about to apply for an intern license in indiana. my family lives in lawrenceburg, just a close drive to cincinnati. i should also consider getting an intern permit in other states such as kentucky, and ohio.

can we keep in touch? it would be nice to have a support in this certification journey.

Hi Canuckgirl,
Yes we can keep in touch. To get an intern license in Ohio you need a background check , I was wondering if the sMe background check will work for many different locations. That will make stuf easier
