Thank youo for your reply Smileysilvia.

I am in CA, Long Beach. Hospitals wouldn't even take me as a volunteer. It's exhausting.

I read on the forum that we don't have to do inpatient hours, is it true?

    Please advise!

Yes, hospital hours are not compulsory. All 1500 hours can be done in retail/community pharmacy, I did all my hours in retail in another state and transferred to CA and got my license.
    All the best.

    1. Cool. You guys are making me so happy......... i just found an internship in small pharmacy. I was loosing sleep over this search. Thank you so much!
    2. The hours don't have to be in only ONE pharmacy, right? We do the hours in more pharmacies?

    3. This is why I thought we had to: in the CA board of pharmacy website/ Intern Hours Affidavit, it is stated in last paragraph of Page 2 :
    (C) Experience in both community pharmacy and institutional pharmacy practice settings.
    (D) Pharmacy practice experience that satisfies the requirements for both introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences established by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

I also called the board and the operator told me that we need to do both settings. I guess we don't. Thank you so much for your input!
