florida intern( applied before jan 01/05)

Hi Admin (pharmacist 2005),

I have question for you, I got florida intern certificate and started my internship in feb/05..since i got my work permit and ssn so on..the catch here is i applied for the internship back in august 2004 where they issued me deficency about SSN. I know that i could give naplex after 500 hrs but when would i get license.

please clarify if i have to do 2080 hours or just 500 hrs.

Please let me know when you recieved your intern permit. since you said that you applied in august 2004 and have not mentioned exactly when you recieved your intern permit it would be difficult for me to tell you whether you have to just do 500 hrs or total of 2580 hrs to get state license.

let me know the date when you recieved the intern permit and to be very sure please mail desiree at "Desiree_Mercado@doh.state.fl.us" who can give you a precise answer.

then i guess you have to do 2580 hrsin order to get the state license. the best way to find out for sure is mail diseree with your querry speicifying the date. you can give naplex and mpje after 500 hrs in any case.

Looks like i have the same goal as yours, i need to plan for naplex in june or july, i need a study partner, let me know .

Currently i have

shargel, lippincotts pharmacology,appleton(7th edition), mannon shroff material..

let me know how to go about it..i generally covered these books during FPGEE, do i need get any books like kodek-kimble, kaplan material ..please let me know.

hello everyone , this pharmacy intern thing is giving me hard time . i have been looking for internship in florida for more than a month . i have been tryin to contact a lot of stores , no one seems responding though .

It seems that finding Florida Internship position is harder than passing the TSE. I don't know what to tell you. The problem is that employers do not want to hire Intern for one and a half year. (2,580 hours)

I think florida intern is not 2580 hrs. It is just 2080 hrs.

Hi, I'm a foreign pharmacy graduate in Florida. I have the FPGEC certificate, but it's really hard to find a job and a visa sponsor. In addition, even though I cleared all exams including FPGEE, TOEFL and TSE before last september, I didn't apply for internship..since I didn't have SSN. Now, I need to work 2580 hrs to get a license...It's very frustrating..you know...Do you know where are job openings for interns in Florida?
