Hi!
I am in America with my travel visa. While staying here, I want to get a SSN. I got a deficiency mail from Florida board, that says I can take the letter to social security office. Is there anyone like me? In this case, can I get a SSN "valid for work"? Or Will I get it "not allowed to work"? Although I get the SSN "not allowed to work", can I get an internship permit in Florida? Which pharmacy chains give a H1-sponsor for those who got a 45 on TSE? Thanks a lot! |

Re: SSN application for Florida internship
hi rayph
i have been to social security office and they told me very clearly that unless i have work authorization (valid visa or green card) they cannot give me SSN # at all. few years back they used to give SSN# without work authorization but now they have stopped from 2003. so you need to get h1 sponsorhip in florida or michigan. someone in yahoo group had posted that walgreens in miami sponsored h1 for him eventhough he had 45 in tse. all the best pharmacist2005 |
