hi everyone and erin

I have been a member of this forum for sometime and really enjoyed being part of it. Erin I had a suggestion . could you make on sub-forum/sub-topic under pharmacy forums for h1-b sponsored jobs for pharmacists ? If you agree to do this please move my thread as well to that sub-forum.

I came across this wonderful link which gives you H1B Employer database - a complete list of US Companies/Employers who offer jobs and sponsor H1 Visa for foreign workers. subscription is free for one state. here is the link:

I have gone through the stages like many others in this field to give FPGEE and to get FPGEC certificate, and missed my h1 -b cap by one day last year inspite of having a sponsorer like safeway. I would like to post all the links and contact I gathered during the process here so that people looking for h1-b and internship can make use of it. I will do so in few days.

I found a sponsorer to file my h1 this year. So good luck to all you out there looking for the same.

I would also like to encourage others who have been a member of this forum to come forward and post the name and contact information of recruiters who helped them get the job.

Congratulations on u r H1.
I am a foriegn pharmacy graduate and i have received my FPGEC.I am also looking for H1 sponsorship.I have been calling the chain pharmacy recruiters but i have no response yet.I am really worried.Can u pl guide me thru this?

Thats amazing help-for H1 seekers.Really appreciate it. wil let you know if have any contacts..
I would suggest a step wise approach if you do not know how to conatct the real person behind.

1.Call the pharmacy in the area your are looking for..
2.Ask for pharmacy supervisor name and tel nos and email.
3.They would normally give the corporate number.
4.The secreatry would pick up and say he/she is out ..any message?
5.Ask for the email Id of the supervisor..
6.Email the supervisor...
7.discuss the opportunities you have
8.ask what is the next step in process
9.keep the conversation going on through emails.
10.if that doesnt fit you ask him where the vacancies are and the manager name and email and how best to conatct him.

Make a list
Name of the company.... name of the manager.. tel no... email .... best time to contact..
I know mostof you know this but I thought of sharing...

Just in cas eif you are waiting for intern liscence...do not wait.. call them and ask them email you a scanned form ... so that you canprocess faster.
