Yes! it is a good news. Howerver, you have to wait until House and Senate negotiation complete. House and Senate committee need to agree and come up with a compromise version of the bill. Right now, House version doesn't have anything about H1B quota. Then, the compromise version will go back to have full house and senate vote again. Unfortunate, most of people predict that the H1B visa part will be left out from final version. We will have to see.

hello, i m so sorry to tell u about the real world it ll be just 33,000 h1b visa for this year so it s reduced to the half insted of duple it http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/public..._06Apr06PR.pdf

thats only for H2bs NOT H1bs!!! which is still 65000 for the 2007

Sorry dr. amgad....but you made an error in reading as pointed out by tropical.....lets us not lose hope !!......thats a very strong thing to keep us going !!......go for it.....H1b applications are at 49,000+ as of 25May,2006.....should be around 52,000 by today. Good luck to all who are trying to file for this quota
