An important concern, I need the kind help of you all.

    Hello Friends,
I am new to this forum. I tried searching many of the previous postings but I am unable to find answer to following questions. Kindly help me and lot of thanks in advance.

    1) I am a Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate from India. Other than H1B visa what other visa options are available for a foreign educated pharmacists to USA. Is there any immigrant visa available for pharmacists which are CURRENT for country India?
    2) Whether Master of Pharmacy is the MINIMUM requirement to write US license exam for a foreign educated pharmacist. If it is not so now, is there any possibility for this rule to be applicable in the near future in any state/all states.
    3) Whether US license is a MANDATORY requirement for H1B visa for foreign educated pharmacists. Is there any country outside US, pharmacy license exam is given.
Kindly enlighten me about these things. Once again thank you all and god bless you all

You can marry some on and come on depend visa . If you are thinking about immigration, Canada would be best option curretly available. Ans Student visa is always an option.

You don't need master's. you need 5 years Bachelors degree.

H1b visa is nothing to do with US license. People came to US before appearing for FPGEE on H1b visa.

    hi john
    i am from india too.
i was wondering as to how r u going to fullfill the 5 yr undergrad course requirement that the FPGEE guys have??
in india , the undergrad is just for 4 yrs...so how is anybody ever going to fullfill that requirement.

i agree with Pharmainfo on the fact that if u r luking 4 an immigrant visa, CANADA is the place to be!

    hoping for a speedy reply
    thanks

    hello kinshukpharma and Pharmainfo,

thank u for your inputs. I have the same doubt. how did the indian pharmasists with 4 year bachelor degree went to US. Did they went by the route of marriage. Or after doing the master's from India whether it is
equalant to American 5 year degree. Or even after finishing the master's do an Indian pharmacist lack any credits.

Those who know the answer kindly respond. It will be a great help for many of the pharmacists in India. Thanks a lot in advance. God bless all.

5 years rule apply to people who completed their graduation after january 2003 . If you are graduated before January 2003, your 4 years degree is still acceptable to write FPGEE.

i am well aware of that requrement, but as far as i am concerned , i fall in the latter category!!

one friend of mine, doing his MS frm New York wrote to dese guys saying that the 5 yr pharma curriculum prescribed by d americans is almost completely covered up by the 11'th, 12'th ( school) and 4 yr pharmacy combined .

i dunno if dose guys accepted dis deal or not??

please, anyone with any more input on this , kindly post here!

    regards
