Help needed for a H4 visa holder

Hi friends
Could anyone help me what to do inorder to get a Social Security Number for a person who is on H4(dependent visa).I am a foreign pharmacist with FPGEC and residing in PA and a hospital allowed me to do volunteer work but PA state board doesnot give the intern permit since I donot have a SSN.In this case what can I do and I heard from some friends in this forum that the H1B for this year has completed,so for the next year H1B visa I should contact some chain pharmacies now or wait till next year?Is it possible to get an intern permit from Texas state board without a SSN?Please give me your opinions.Thank you.

you need SSN iin state of PA. till last year they gave a SSN waiver but this year they have stopped. i had contacted the board last month and came to know about this. In texas you get intern license without SSN but there is a risk since if you fail naplex/mpje within one year ur hours won't be counted and they cancel the intern license.

you can try places like maryland, arizona, colorado, ohio etc....
