Whts the walgreens pay rate in michigan or just an approx.
do they take people on OPT.
can somebdy give me contact info of PDMs in michigan (CVS, Walgreens)

Walgreens takes OPT, but they are very strict. Your field has to be in pharmacy. My major is biology and they answered me very firmly that they can't take it.

Hi OPTGUY, you might be careful if you want to use OPT. If you are graduating like summer, I don't know what's the latest time you can start OPT. If walgreens takes you using OPT, you still need to apply for H1B next year. But OPT only lasts for a year. If your OPT starts in August, there will be 2 months gap before you can use H1B to work legally. it is dangerous to be out of status. Just a thought, since I am in the same boat, please clarify if I am wrong, the better way is get H1B sponsorship this year

Hi OPTGuy and Realworld,
I am also in the same boat, graduating this august. I have read from murthy.com that we will be having 60 days of grace period after 1 year of OPT. Grace period starts starts immediately, if you have not applied OPT.So we need stay away from work during those days, just as leave.
Then join back the job on new H1 from october 1st. But my only concern is that, it is counted as days not in months, so make sure that we will out of status not more than 60 days.
Also, please let me what is your date of completion of your course in I-20.

thanks for the responses. My OPT is starting from march 2007. so i need to have H1B when quota opens in april. it may be effective from next yr before march but i need to get it filed this time only.
