Hello everyone,
Pls I notice this is a big issue for all who intend to become licensed pharmacists in Texas,so pls i plead with anyone who has gone thru this b4 to pls help us all out advise us and be a blessing.
the scenario is I have passed fpgee,im on a H4 visa,no SSN. How can I begin the journey of NAPLEX,Mpje and internship? I heard these chain pharmacies here are not willing to hire anyone without a ssn,also to fill the TSBP application for internship,u have to have an SSn,so pls where do we start from?
pls help us all who are in this predicament.esp one who has gone thru the H4 to H1 visa status.pls help desperately.

Maplestream,
You should find a petitioner for your H4 visa to be H1. H4 visa is a dependent visa . At present retail pharmacies doesn't like to petition., based from my experience too. You came here through your spouse. My question is , What is the current status of your spouse. Does she applied for immigrant petition, if she does and was apporved you will be able to get EAD(Employment authorixzation document) for you to be allowed to work ang get SSN.Then, you can apply for texas board for your next exams. hope this helps

Hi,

You need to complete the NAPLEX and MPJE before being considered for internship in Texas. You can take the NAPLEX and MPJE without a SSN. YoU could call the TSBP, and speak to LISA AKE, the Intern Coordinator, at 512-305-8011 and request applications for the NAPLEX and MPJE. You can tell her that you dont have a SSN and she'll advise you what to do. Hope this helps.

i filled texas intern application form and i did not have SSN...lisa ake will send u paper copy of form which does not require SSSn so talk to her...

God bless you all for your prompt response.My husband is on a H1 visa and is presently working.Pls what is an immigrnat petition? and how do i go about filing for the EAD?
