hi jagu

actually i have both fpg score and old toefl score.with them i applied for michigan inturn license.i am on h4.so i send my foreign address ie my native place address instead of ssn n got license
in michigan they need atleast toefl .with out tsc they r giving.but toefl is needed

what I mean is what is why it is a problem to get it before intership?

SSN is important in tracking criminal record and other issues.

I want to make sure that I understood that well
The SSN is given to us after having H1-B visa Am I right?
And If I am right why a lot of people ask about states that donot require SSN?
IS it becoz they arenot sure they can get the visa?
plz answer these questions coz I really wanna make sure I undestood that well.

hi,inorder to apply for H1 visa u should hold a proffessional license, in your case it would be an intern license. some states do not issue intern license unless u have ssn.so we have to look for states which issue intern license without ssn, or states which will give u a defficiency letter, which means that u meet all the requirements of the state to be give an intern license except ssn.

hi,
The virginia state board also doesn't require SSN for an intern license and they accept volunteer hours for NAPLEX,but you need to have DMV control number which you get only if are a resident of Virginia.also you should have FPGEC certificate inorder to apply for intern license.

hi Sreejitha, u mean that I can get DMV control no. if I am a resident in Veriginia??if I am a legal resident then surely I will have ssn and no need for DMV no. pls clarify how to get a DMV no. and what do u mean by resident ?
