for michigan license

Hi there,

Anybody has any news regarding the licensing procedure for michigan?
I mean I have heard that the rules are going to be changed in june-2007. The michigan board will require the FPGEC certificate, too for the license registration.

Is it true?

I also heard from my friends but nothing is for sure.. I have MI intern licence RIGHT NOW so don't know that whether this new rule would applies to me or not

Hi,

Yes. The new rules will be effective on June 1st, 2007. I already have my application ID at Michigan, and I was thrilled when I knew this. I am working on my internship hours, which will be done in July, 2007. Do you think this new rule would also apply to my situation?

hi jennys,

i don't think the new rule will apply to you. i have already apply to michigan intern licence last week. there is a chance michigan board might accept my application. but nothing is final. but you already have a licence so you don't have to worry about it. lucky man.

Today I called to Michigan Board of Pharmacy regarding to inquire about new rule. They have no idea about the FPGEE certificate and there would be no change in the rules from June 2007. I think that just the rumor.

but when you download the application for intern license from the michigan board of pharmacy website, it is clearly written in there that the new rule will be effective from june 1, 2007.

so, i don't think it could be a rumor. but as you said you talked to the board of pharmacy in michigan, i'm confused now. i have already applied for the intern licence but i don't know whether i have to get the FPGEC certificate or not?

anyways, i'm waiting for the reply from the michigan board of pharmacy. let's see what happens.

I sent this message to MI

I applied for intern license a couple of months ago but not have intern
license yet because my Toefl score report were missed. My understanding
is that I can still expect intern license without FPGEC because I have
already applied before June 1st. (I have a letter of application
confirmation.)

How about pharmacist license?
If I get the intern license after June 1st, can't I apply for pharmacist
license without FPGEC after I complete intern hours and exams?

And I got this answer

Because you submitted your application prior to 06/01/07, you won't need
the FPGEC for your intern nor your permanent/full pharmacist license.
