Hi!
How long will it takes for a foreign pharmacy graduate to be a license pharmacist in the US, assuming you pass the FPGEE?
Thanks!
It depends on your ability to pass the TOEFL iBT. It may take 3 months to 9 years for the whole process from requesting FPGEE application to getting the FPGEC certificate. I know someone who took the TSE more than 30 times, more than 7 years before passing the TSE. She came from the country where English is an official language. Please check the thread, " Let's get together to send complaint to NABP."
I hope that the nightmare to become a U.S. licensed pharmacy will be over soon. We need to take it to justice.
Good luck.![]()

Hi Knok,
I've just joined this forum. However, I read a lot what you are doing. I really admire and respect you.
I have a question about FPGEE and I believe you can help me to clarify it.
My country doesn't need licence for pharmacist to be worked after graduation, can I sit for the FPGEE with the letter confirmation from my school that there is no need licence in my country?
I read FPGEE bulletin, they said that it is OK.However, when I read the news in NABP website issued in April,2006, they said that every case must have licence.
Your soon reply is vey high appreciated.
Lynn
You have to call NABP and ask the representative. The regulations change all the time.
Good luck.
