You have to get a good book of math - because there would be quiet a lot math questions - if you are not good at math - the same situation in mcq.
Also try to read different books, this exam is needed to asses your general knowlage, so questions would be from different subjects - like one question in anatomy, next in economy, another in chemestry. They don't ask too deep questions but you need to know a lot.

Hi, I am just new here... My name is Tina and I am from the Philippines.

I would like to take EE on January 2010. For those who have passed the exam already, how do you assessed the exam?

As I've read to the forum, for EE these references are okay?

Please add if I missed out something..

    Hi Tinaphils

The books you got there are a good source especially for pharmacology and mechanisms of actions of drugs. Focus mainly on pharmacology and pharmaceutics. However, CPR doesn't always have all the information you need, for example it misses in depth information on dyslipidaemia topic. What I also found useful was a first year pharmacy human anatomy/physiology book because it contained biochemistry and even some pharmacology related details. I wouldn't focus too much on the pure chemistry section as there is a limited number of questions on it, so if you don't have enough time for them I would not stress out. A general tip for anyone, I found it easier to memorise things for the EE if you go back and understand the material then memorise it will stick in your head better, and this will help you solve some MCQs where you may not know the answer immediately, but because of your knowledge you can use method of elimination.

If you like to know the name of the book I refered to earlier, it is called Tortora, Grabowski: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology, 10th ed.

    Good luck!

    Hi ss181
Glad you found the info helpful!
you're right you shouldn't completely ignore the chemistry section. CPR is a good source for quick info on functional groups (ch8), principles of pharmacodynamics and medicinal chem (ch12). The problem with proper chem books is they are very in depth and have way too much info, so there isn't just one book that has everything you need. Part of the questions as the blueprint outlines will include analytical chem material including spectroscopy, chromatography types eg HPLC etc. I occasionaly reffered to an analytical chemistry book I had from university to go over some of the material, but like I mentioned earlier it is too detailed and I hardly used it (called quantatative chemical analysis by Daniel C. Harris). I found the internet in general to be a good source. If you google things you can find random lecture notes and chem websites, use old uni notes if you have them.

    Hope this helps you

Hi everybody! Just would like to know, does anybody know the percentage of passing examinees on EE?

For those who already passed it or took EE, how do you assessed the exam, is it really difficult?

Thanks again Sims I am considering CPR and trying to finish Cardio Vascular Disease and HTN first along with their Physiology and Anatomy thats is from Chapter 39 to 42 and then I will move on to next chapters. I have question that is it ok to read and understand like this or should I do it differently. Do you have any recommendation or division of chapters to make the reading more effective and useful and I Higly appreciate your help. As you know there are 61 chapters so it is hard tocover all and remember all . Advice please. or recomend me some good ways.

    Thanks for oyur guidence

hello, I am just wondering if some one can help in finding a good training course for the Evaluating Exam in Ontario? I heard Canadian Pharmacy Exams Prep, Pharmacology Information provide home and live training in Toronto. Any one had use their training material or know about them? Are they good? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
