sarah123
I have spoken to some Agencies and as per them we can complete our Internship hours( after FPGEC) on visit visa as a volunteer work and the board will consider this work as the internship. Any of you guys have any idea about this?? please let me know your idea/experience Friends. rgds Sarah

kipper
Pharmacy State boards require SSN before they issue intern licenses. Employers/institutions should not accept volunteers without SSN... All hours done before intern licenses are valid are not counted. The only way for a foreign graduate to receive a SSN is through H1B visa. To do volunteer work under a tourist visa is ILLEGAL. Both you and the company will be in trouble. Those agencies who said that it is possible are just SCAMS. So beware! diane
I know a foreign pharmacist who finished her internship hours while visiting her family for 6 months. And she asked the board to transfer her internship hours to the another state board which she has a intern license in. I guess the boards or NABP don't care the applicants do their internship volunteerly or without ssn. Am I right? Is there anyone who has more detailed opinion?
