How easy is it?

How easy is it to change your status from Visit Visa to H1 Visa?
How long does it take to get OHIO license after clearing the FPGEE?
Is it hard to find a job in Ohio? I mean as an intern.
Thank you.
Best Wishes.

Hi Orwa,

Just wanted to share what I read about changing of status to H1 Visa...

All H-1B petitions are filed with the appropriate United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) office by the US Employer. If you are outside the US and your petition is approved you will have to apply for an H-1B Visa in the US Consulate at your country of residence. If you are already in the US in a different status you may apply for a Change of Status to H-1B. However, if you leave the US, you will have to apply for an H-1B Visa at a US Consulate in order to be admitted again in this status.

A decision can take approximately 180 days. Sometimes, the USCIS issues a "Notice of Action" requesting additional documents and/or information to support your application, and this procedure affects the processing time.

Thanks!

Hi Orwa,

Regarding your question on extending a visit visa, I'm not really sure on how long would it take. What i know is that if you want to extend, you should apply for an extension 2 or 3 months prior to your visa expiration.

I'm not really sure on this one..but I'll check if I can collate some answers on this.

I hope I was able to help you!

Thanks and God Bless!
