Hi,
I am looking for some specific names and contact details of Pharmacies that offer intern positions and also sponsor an H1B visa. Any help from anybody will be highly appreciated.

I think CVS and WALGREENS pharmacies are best pharmacieswhich sponsor H1 visa.

Asa Folks:
I do agree with khan's reply but the thing is that now the situation has been totally changed. Chain pharmaices used to sponsor, foreign graduates so easily, before 2003 but now they have changed the laws for instance Michigan Board of Pharmacy doesnt need FPGEE Certificate for NPLEX but Chain Pharmacy need FPGEE Certificate to higher an Interns. Incase of Chain Pharmacies they put the procedure to submit the resume online for interns if we you do have FPGEE Certificate then they will contact them as per their requirement. For searching the contact names go to google or yahoo then you can find the name of person in their directories. Go by each state and city name and look for district manager. District manager has the authority to hire internship.

Now for H1 its all depends on luck last year CVS and Walgreens sponsor many interns but because of overwhelming applicants for H1 some of them could not even submit their applications and those who submit applications in time they got rejected in LOTTERY system. But who knows when luck does work. So keep trying and dont forget independent pharmacy too sometimes they need interns so badly.

I have interview with walgreens for Intern position.Can anybody say about how the interview Questions will be??HAs any one faced iterview with walgreens.Any help appriciated.Thanks in advance.

Well, congratulations that you are able to get an interview with walgreens. I have been trying to get an internship position with them myself. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me how best to get an offer from them. What State do you live in? Have you already taken your naplex or mpje for that state? I don,t need visa sponsorship.

Do some litterature search on the company, know a bit about their history, look clean and confident but do not try to look or behave too smart, be natural, normal and moreover be positive. Be prepared to answer questions such as:
1) Why did you choose this company?
2) What are your future plans, how and where do you see yourself in 10 year?
3) What are your career goals
4) Tell me about your strenghts and weaknesses
5)How do you work under pressure?
6)Do you prefer to work alone or as a team member?
Try not to talk about salary ...let them come up with an offer... you can always check how much interns in the company and in the area make and compare, if you think it's way below that, you may mention it.
7) Be honest about what you know and don't know but always add that you adapt very easily and fast.
8) DO NOT forget to send an email or a thank you card to the pesron who interviewed you for the opportunity they gave you to appear for an interview.
This what I can think of for now...I hope it will help you.

Hello Lorberg.

I am a foreign pharmacist who recently took Pharm tech licensure and FPGEE. I successfully passed the Pharm tech exam and still awaiting for my FP result. I am interested in working as a Pharmacy Intern if there will be an ooportunity.

Can you give me an advice or maybe you have any lead for future employment. I am currently in the Caribbean and my B1/B2 US visa just recently expired.

Any info will be appreciated. You can also send me private message when needed.

I am a foriegn pharmacist with FPGE Certification from NABP. I have Australian citizenship and am eligible for E3 visa (Hence, I can start without waiting for the H1-B quotas and time limits).
