Hi all,

I'm going to start my internship in Northern California. I tried to apply for social security no. but they are not going to accept my application till Oct 1st.

If anyone is going through the same situation, please reply.

This is a very big problem. SSN office doesn't issue the number before 1st Oct and companies don't hire without ssn.

I was facing the same situation but luckily I got EAD card so, I could apply for SSN soon.

You can try to go to a smaller remote ssn office to apply. Sometimes, it depends on the office.
