Friends,
I think we are nearing to another season for the Interviews and job search as the US employers will start the interviews for the Pharmacy interns by dec/ jan08.

Can you please share your interview experience and the type of common questions they asked and how do we answer them?

Kindly share your experience it would be a great help for us.

Hi sarah,, I have just started internship with Wal-Mart Pharmacy,,,I'm so Happy for that,,,,I cleared FPGEE , but not iBT as I don't have time for it right now,,,When I talked to the DM in Wal-Mart by chance , she agreed immediatly. So the interview was just a routine thing made by one of the pharmacy staff. In Wal-Mart they have 120-150 printed questions and the interviewer read the question and grade you a grade from A to E and then get the average of all the questions.I don't know about other chains, but this is what I had in Wal-Mart. Which state you are in ? I too cleared FPGE and didn't clear toefl - Ibt. Can you please tell me how to apply for intern position as I had very bad experience of trying for intern. I called many pharmacies and they used to give me distirct manager numbers, I left message to many of them but did not get reply from any one of them.

I passed the fpgee and the toefl, but I have 45 in my tse. Can you tell where I can start my internship? With a score of 45 in my tse
When do you contact Wal-Mart to start you internship now?
If it is possible to start my internship as soon as possible or I need to wait for the next year to start my internship in October 2008.
Can you give me the e-mail of the person who hire you in Wal-Mart
When you start to contact a sponsorship you contacted other chain of pharmacies like CVS or Walgreens. They give you positive or negative answers?
If you can give me some others suggestions. I will really appreciate

have been asked this question many time lately,,, I brought the answer directly form NC board of Pharmacy as following;

Q: May foreign pharmacy graduates work as pharmacy interns or technicians in North Carolina?
A: The Board of Pharmacy frequently receives questions about Board requirements concerning foreign pharmacy graduates who work as pharmacy interns. These inquiries are frequently in connection with applications for H-1B visas.
Under North Carolina law, an individual who has received the foreign equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy may work as a pharmacy intern or technician without having passed the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Exam (“FPGEE”).
To ultimately obtain a license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina, the foreign graduate would have to pass the FPGEE, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, the Test of Spoken English, the NAPLEX, and the Multi-State Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam. The Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (“NABP”) administers the FPGEC Certification Program, and foreign graduates should contact the NABP directly for further information.
The foreign graduate would also have to complete 1500 Board-approved practical pharmacy experience hours as a Pharmacy Intern as a condition for licensure. All interns seeking practical pharmacy experience must register with Board’s internship program on forms provided by the Board.

My comment Still not easy to convince the retail pharmacy about the state law,,,in more clear words,, I tried rite aid,,, but they insisted on having the FPGEC,,I told them this is not the state law,, they said we follow NABP law,,of course NABP has nothing to do with state laws... I could have gone more with them but Wal-Mart made it easy for me,, so I prefered not to waste my time and start counting the hours rather than fighting.
