Hi,

Today I talked to the manager of NABP, still no positive progress. Feel very frustrated. I'll keep trying.

Ninah, thanks a lot for your help and comfort!

Simi, sorry to know that you are in the same situation. Let's work together.

yes NINA i will be in touch ... and keep you updated ...
Dear LIGHTHOUSE which country did u completed your b.pharm ??? and when did u got your b.pharm degree ???
who is the NABP manager and whom did you talked to ?
today I talked to one of the representatives and asked them to consider the post graduation as a part of the graduation .. they simple said that it was not a part of your education at the graduation level .. i asked that then why did u accepted me for the exam ..she said well new regulation which they have adopted in summer 07 chenged everything and now there is no way that they can accept 4 year degree .. I asked do u think that pre-pharmacy ( high school education which you considered as 1 year of pharamcy ) is more pertinant to the pharmacy cirriculum or the post graduation is more relevant to the actual subject .. representative replied .. I dont know !!!
well she didn't had answer to most of my questions ... she didn't know how to take care of me ... I can surely stand against them as they are trying to play with us with out any proper rules .. even I told that representative that there was no pharmacy education of 5 year ( for pharmacy graduates) presented in my country even when I completed my post graduation ... she said that they dont know what to respond about it .. I requested that if something doesn't existed in the system how do u expect me to generate it ??? Its a shame for NABP to have stupid people and regulation in their department ... I am gonna do something and I am not going to sit and keep quiet. this is not fair and not right ... its their facism to control us. They can't do it, certainly there is law out and we know how to fight for our rights !!!

this is really saddening. I suggest o you all to get a lawyer. One thing I want to say is that if you are green card holder or immigrant it will work to your best interest to sue NABP file a case with a lawyer. If your a H!-visa or dont have a ssn I dont think they will take you seriously.
best of luck to lighthouse and simi

Hi Simi,

I graduated from a 4-year program before 2003 and got BS. in Pharmacy. The manager is a lady. I talked to the customer service about my situation they transfered me to the manager. While, now from my own experience and my other friends', I think the most effective way of communication with FPGEC is writing down our opinions and send to them. Now I am collecting more evidence and documents and preparing the letter. We need to use the most effective way to protect ourselves.

Also, thank you again, Nina!

hey NINA thnx for ur support and concern.
Dear LIGHT HOUSE ... you are right ... infact i have recently for the evidence if what I have been saying ... that there was no course offered for 4 year graduates to complete 5 year pharmacy .. but I have found that advertisment from my generic univerity ( from where I did b.pharm ) - which says that the New 5 year course of pharmD will be implimented from 7th march 07. So this evidence can corroborate with my information and will prove the I have done all my post graduation with good faith and I should be provided with the certificate as there was no such course offered even after 2 .5 year of my graduation. I might talk to board ( NABP ) after i get some more information on this subject.

This post is for my other friends who have asked about my university. Well my university 4 year graduation has been accepted and even they are not creating a fuss in recongnising the post graduation studies. However, thier stance is that I didn*t have 5 year at the time of my graduation ... well by their requirements they might be right but they can't pinnalize me on the grounds of what I did as there was nothing in the system which would provide me an option to complete the fifth year at the time of graduation.
My other friend advised me that if * am a national or green card holder my case might be reviewed seriously. Well I agree to it to a certain extent. But this is America, even I am a British national and I know how a corporate can be sued on their poor decisions which can effect others life. I have invested 3 years after graduation for achieveing my FPGEC ... and as far as * have completed the FPGEE and toefl iBT successfully, nothing can stop me for getting that certificate. Especially after a proof of FPGEC committee invitation letter to successfully qualify for sitting in FPGEE.
