CA Intern license

How long does it take to get CA intern license? I have applied a month back, but I haven't heard back from them. It is really frustrating as there is no way to find out if I need to submit anymore documents. All they say on their website is that we have to wait until 45 days before we reach them. Did anyone recieve their license in less than a month? I have submitted my SSN along with the fingerprint records, I don't understand what is taking them so long.
Thanks

Hello ramki.swan,

Had a question! I'm currently on TD visa and so not entitled to work-so don't have a SSN. Do you have any idea whether you can approach Pharmacy banners just with the FPGEC or they also need Intern license before they employ you?
Please advice if you know anything about this- since I'm in great trouble.

Thank you.

Hi safal,
You can apply for an intern license after you get the job and H1. Try contacting DMs and let them know that you already have FPGEC. I did that last year and I got some interview calls. In the mean time what you can do is to apply for intern license, so that you atleast get a deficiency letter from the board.

Hi ramki.swan,
Thank you for your input. Are you a Canadian too?
You are right, I'm actually talking to DM's and recruiters but don't know when it will click.
I was hesitant to apply for Intern license meanwhile bec. someone in the forum said that if your file has deficiency letter, then takes longer to get the license.
Is that true?

You need the deficiency letter to get H1. I know it takes a bit longer, but there is no other go.

If you have SSN, you will receive your intern license directly. Deficiency letter is given to people without SSN.

Thank you for your quick response.
I have SSN, and I also had the same question. But one of the recruiter told me that, if I send out intern license application without FPGEC certificate, the board will provide me the letter of deficiency.
Since I got my TOEFL results just this week, it will take some time for the FPGEC certificate to come. So getting the letter of deficiency will serve as a document to support my qualification to become phamacist.
Can you please give me some suggestions to tackle this situation.
Thank you very much
