waiting for an offer letter from Rite Aid

Friends!
I am really confused with Rite Aid.Couple of days ago I had an interview with Rite Aid DPM for an intern position . He was very nice and easy going person. He told me that he will keep me posted.I believed he is positive about me . but till now no response. how long does it take to get background checked , drug test results etc????PLease help

getting tensed.How many days does Riteaid usually take to offer the job??Does anyone in the same situation???

Hello RPH. At the end of your interview, did you make sure what your stand is with the DPM? Did he give you a number to call? The reason I'm asking these is when I had my interview on Tuesday w same company, I asked the DPM what my status was and I quote. "Are you saying I'm hired?" She also gave me a number to call to ask for the specific store to work for and the exact rate. However, she told me that I didn't even have to call that number. All I had to do was wait for the offer which states everything. I emailed them on Friday indicating I accepted Walmart instead and I was told they were trying to place the offer that day or possibly Monday. Supposedly, after the offer, we'd sign some papers for the background check and do a drug test. I've read from resume and interview books that it won't hurt to call and do a follow up to ask more questions that just came up to your mind which I did. As far as the waiting time, Walmart scheduled me for paper-signing and drug test tomorrow and told me that NLT 18 Feb. (background check will be done by then), I should already be starting. That's the time frame you're looking at. Don't worry, it was the weekend so don't count those days. Wait some more, I pray you get it, if it's really what you want. Good luck.

yeah , he gave me his business card after the interview. i did some paper work during the interview . And that afternoon I even went for drug test.but yet no reply.hen I emailed him he says still background check is going on, does this back ground check take more than 2 weeks???

Hi RPH. Drug test takes about 5-7 business days and 7-9 for background check as far as I am told today, so relax. Just enjoy your free days right now.

As for you Sunshine, I was quoted for 2/3 of a Rph pay.

Hygeian! Thank you very much for the information. For rite aid he told me less than 2/3 of RPH salary, it's $22. I think it depends on the state becuse one of my friend is woking with Rite aid in MI and he is paid $20.And one in FL is paid $16. In indiana $22..

I did not negotiate for the rate but I did for the location. I notified the DM I was leaning on Rite Aid because they were assigning me within my area while Walmart wanted me to take a store 45 mins. away. Surprisingly, they gave me what I wanted so I dropped Rite Aid who gave me the wrong quote during the interview.
