Dear all,
My issue is that I am done with all my coursework requirements for the Master degree from US university and applying for my OPT that will come into effect from June 2008.My graduation commencement will be on May 2008.Is there any way that I can apply for H1 in april 2008 under Master qouta?What if I get a letter from my university stating that I have completed all the coursework requirements.What is the possibilities of getting H1 approval?
Please anyone who knows and heard about the simillar situation, reply me as soon as possible.
I will appreciate your help and suggestion.

The regulations change all the time. I would suggest you to talk to an immigration lawyer.

Also, Murthy Law Firm : U.S. Immigration Law, under H-1B topic, forum has experts to answer this kind of problem.

This year, if you check USCIS.gov, you will see that the government realizes about the fake documents in the past years so there will be more strict rules regarding documents and H-1B process.

As someone posted before, it is impossible that there would be 350,000 jobs available this year in this economic situation.

You were waiting for the safeway reply in another post. Have you heard from them yet??If so what did they tell you. Did they offfer you the post ?

Knok is right. Go to various websites like USCIS.GOV , murthy.com and ask questions to attorneys. Because it sounds little complecated as by the time of filing H1 B you won't be graduated. These things are serious issues and goes according to law. Why do not you graduate in August and get OPT from Sept ? This way it may work . but it's going work for next year's H1B.But you can be sure that you will get it. If you want to be on safe side try to call any immigration attorny , they chage $100-150/hour of consultation on phone. Hope this helps.

Some lawyers offer the first 30 minutes for free consultation. Check yellow pages.

My good friends now are lawyers. It is coincident that my neighbors happen to be lawyers.

Hello everybody,
I would appreciate any suggestion regarding my problem. I am foreign pharmacist. Even though I was hired as a pharmacy intern by the pharmacy chain in US, I am officially a pharm. tech ( according to US license). I already passed my FPGEE in December 2007. However, I can't obtain my FPGEE certificate because I didn't pass TOEFL yet. So, TOEFL test is holding me back. There are no words to describe how angry I am regarding this Test. Anyway, my chain pharmacy promised H1 visa to me. However, I just received news that they can't do it for me because I am not a pharmacy intern, at least officially. The time is running for me. My visa will end up in August this year. Do you think that my tech. license would be a reason for H1 visa, while I am struggling with TOEFL? Should I try another pharmacy chain? I am really desperate...... an really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
