Hi Knok,
I like some suggestions from Babak, especially AIPHA. However, it is too late to vote.
From the current options, I do not like names with "-" such as IPharm-US. However, if eveyone agrees with this name, I will support.
Sorry Babak.

Check this out. AIPHA is similar to AIPhA. AIPhA has been used already. In other words, it is repetitive.

There is not any AIPHA as an assosiation. The one you mentioned is for a language other than English and one chinese product.
It is always happen that 2 different names have same abriviation.

Please, have a look at other American Association and get an idea (PATTERN) from them.
Good Luck,

Plaese, have a look at the following associations;

American Association of International Medical Graduates (AAIMG)
American International Charolais Association(AICA)
American International Education Associates(AIEA)
American International Automobile Dealers Association(AIADA)
American Association of International Nurse Recruiters(AAINR)
American Medical Informatics Association(AMIA)
American Association of Foreign Educated Nurses (AAFEN)
American Association for Cancer Research (AACR)
American Optometric Association(AOA)
American Orthopaedic Association(AOA)
American Neurological Association(ANA)
American Physical Therapy Association(APTA)
Nursing Associations & Organizations (National & International)

***Meanwhile, have a search about IPG, IPHARM, IPHARM-us in the internet and see the result!!!

Everyone,

Thank you for your participation.

AIPhA = Association of Indian Pharmacist in America

Here is its web site:

Welcome To AIPHA

This organization just had the 14th annual meeting not long ago.

We need to be united so that work can be done smoothly. This organization is a sign of our unity. Then, we can put positive thoughts to improve the healthcare system and to get rid of unfair treatments.

Love,

Knok

Knok,

Thanks for the link. AIPHA now is not an option for us. We can be ticketted for trespassing (lol).

Last night I thought of an alternative name for the association, but I realized it was inappropriate to bring it up at this moment, as the deadline for submission of names is over.

I suggest that we better concentrate on the choices we have.

Yes Babak! it is too late now to make changes, because we are trying to respect the time table that we have put for each step. Coming up with a name for our association, is the very first step ( we are trying to acheive some goals here).
Please, if you have a good reason for the change then proceed on time.

With respect to the time table, I just get you my opinion.

I can't convince myself with;
  • Hyphen in the middle of the name
  • The word "Graduate"
I believe, you cannot become a pharmacist without being graduated. And when you include "International" in your name it can cover itself 'the out of US' graduation. Moreover, there are many international students here in US who graduate every year and are not foreign graduated.

Meanwhile, In order to remove the hyphen I suggested USIPHA(United States International Pharmacist Association).

All above is just simple suggestions, you can buy it or not. But, don't say it's too late, because your poll hasn't ended up yet and you have time about speculate offers. It's late when you had no chance to change your printed 'letterhead paper', the domain, logo,....

Have a Good Weekend,

Dear Trav,
What is your opinion about the following resemblance?

American Optometric Association(AOA)
American Orthopaedic Association(AOA)

It is always happen that 2 different names have same abriviation.

I would propose the abbreviation : IPA-USA.

International Pharmacist Association in the US.
I think this is simpler . What do you think?
