Best of luck for all of us.

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations to those who got the approval.

In my case. I applied under general quota and regular process.
My sponsoring company informed me yesterday that the check that was mailed to USCIS had been deposited and told that I got selected in lotary. They have also told me that I will recieve a receipt number within 10-15 days. Shall I considered this as accepted? Or still I need to wait for the receipt number for confirmation?

please suggest,
thanks

You are more or less selected. The receipt notice will confirm that you have been selected. Congratulations!

By the way, which company were you sponsored by?

Well, you have been picked up in the lottery. To get a receipt number you may have to wait for around 2 weeks because of work load on USCIS. After getting your receipt number you can check online if your case is approved or not which i think will take 8-10 weeks if you have applied under normal processing..
Good Luck

Hi everyone,

I received an email from my employer and they told me that I was selected on the lottery. Does that mean that I really have a working visa? Is there a possiblity that my case will not be approved by USCIS even I was selected?

Is there anybody here who was offered a position in New Jersey?
Congratulations to those who were selected and good luck to us all.

Hi Julia

You applied through regular processing or premium , also your application was in general quota? I had applied through premium processing but still didn't heard anything.

Hi joshy.priyanka,

I applied through regular processing under general quota. Did you ask your lawyer or employer? Don't worry, you still have until June 2nd. I hope you get selected too.

Update on FY 2009 H-1B Processing | AskStudent

it looks like the war of 2009 h1b is ending...this year is hopeless already...

To all those awaiting notices,

While I think all hope is still not lost since we have about 2 weeks left til June 10th (as there is would definitely be lagtime between the mail from USCIS to our sponsors to us), I think it would be wise to start exploring back-up plans too, to wit:
1. explore non-profits;
2. apply with other companies for next year for more, and hopefully better, options;
3. explore Canada and/or Australia options. The NABP letter that was sent with our FPGEE Certificate states that Canada and Australia recognizes the FPGEE, if I am not mistaken.

I haven't really looked into these options I have listed above but maybe you can get ideas from others, or maybe read last years posts.

Again, I am not saying this for people to lose hope because I think THERE IS STILL HOPE but, starting with back-ups now might be the smart thing to do.

Kind regards everyone! I'm still hoping to see all of you in one of our future US Pharmacists/IPHARM-US events.
