Thank you Knok and other guys,who participated in meeting with NABP.
Nor nurses no doctors take English tests now. My friend took clinical course for nurses to renew knoledges.She told that they after passing board exam were immediately hired.
At begining, after passing FPGEE, I thought about improving English. I studied English in College all my best, I took TOEFL twice. It was awful. I've taken private lessons and group classes.My score in speaking didn't change. I live in California;State with very strictly laws. Enrolling to TOEFL is 2-3 months ahead. Sometimes available test center located far away, 2-4 hours driving .

. TOEFL exam is extremely stressful, especially for people, who don't type quickly, and have no quick reaction( peope after 35 y.o). I think, NCPA (National Community Pharmacists Association) is much more representative institution than we can help us.

Pretty sure those who attended the meeting are still tired now. Let's give them time. Positively they are doing it for everyone. This is an extra work and they spent extra money. We have to be thankful to them. Victims of toefl exam are very anxious about the results of the meeting with NABP like me. We can not do anything this time except to pray and wait for a good outcome.

I want to thank from the bottom of my heart to the people who are taking the intiative to work with NABP over the issue of toefl ibt.

I am sorry I was not able to attend the meeting Baltimore due to personal problems.

Once again, thanks for all your hard work.

May god bless you all and let's hope that something positive comes out of this meeting.

Hi guys,

I have a suggestion if the NABP insisted on TOEFL as English evaluating test. That they change the requirement from specific score in each section to a total score around 90 plus appropriate low minimum score for each section like 18 or 20. That way they will be sure that who will pass is still qualified to communicate effectively in English and in the same time there will be more flexibility. Being able to speak English or not should be judged by the interviewer not by stressful unfair test even the native Americans can hardly pass.

We have enough struggle with the employment. Specially who don't have green card still have long way to go.

Hi everyone,

Thanks everyone who joined the meeting. We missed works and schools, left our kids with baby sitters, and flew and drove to Baltimore. We worked very hard since before the meeting. I have rarely slept on the last week before the meeting and am still tired from travelling since I have many things to catch up. All of us are doing our best to discuss and send messages across in every method. We all expect a good outcome but nobody knows what is going to come out.

For those who did not join us at all or committed to join but did not show up, we expect that you will come to show your positive energy in the next events. We have thousands of reasons to give. It is up to you. If you give up your rights not to do things that you can do, you have to trust those who do it for you.

I also special thank those who helped behind the scene even though you could not come to join us. We appreciate your time and effort.

I will appreciate it if you help to spread the slides of shortage and pharmacists Shortage of Pharmacists-Untapped Resource.pdf
to anyone you know. Many parties do not believe that the shortages are real.

Do you know why the TSE was properous for years? Because, we all pharmacists always thought that someone would do something for us. Who lost? Us as test takers. So, why doesn't everyone of us start to do a little for ourselves and others? Finally, I believe, a little drop of water can add up to become a river that can wash away the dirt.

I urge you all to think before you post and do whatever you can do to get rid of the monopoly. It is not the time for us to fight with each other. It is the time for us to get together, think together, and come up with strategies to get a fair solution.
