Hi Knok,
First of all, I would like to thank you for all your efforts on working with NABP regarding improving Toefl ibt requirement. I have also been struggling with Toefl ibt requirements just like many others. I personally think that we need to take and show all these requirement set by NABP on American media and compare it with requirements set for Nurses, Physical therapist or doctors. US is a captialist country. NABP only has partnership with ETS. They should offer ILETS or other exams just so that the competition can come in to fulfill this English requirement. Let me know if you need my help. I will provide all my support. Once again, thanks for all your efforts.. |

Please do whatever you think it is appropriate.
Do it fast please. However, the summary version will be posted later. We will send both versions. Incase, they don't have time to read the whole thing, they can scan the summary first. Please send both versions. Our team works days and nights unstoppedly. I'll get back later. ![]()

Thank's Knok for all your efforts, I personally appreciate all of it after reading the threads.
![]() I'm one of the silent type. I already passed FPGEE and I took the TOEFLibt a year ago, twice, but got only 23 in speaking for both exams then I stop, it's expensive. I believe that there is a money making deals or some kind in this test, monopoly?. I think we can ask NABP to lower their required score, I don't think it will affect their standard since employment will still depend on how the candidate will answer interviews here, right? The score they are requiring is ridiculously high knowing that we're not native speakers, even the test is inappropriate for us. If they can't do that they should give us an option instead. I'm wondering also why ETS removed the TSE, I have a friend who took the ibt twice and of course failed the speaking, took the TOEFL and TSE and passed. I'd like to do that but the problem is there is no more TSE. We really need to be heard. I would like to help you guys but the problem is I can't physically be there but I will support in any ways I can. Good luck to us! |

Hello Rxist
I have been going thru the same situation, a bit worse to add up. According to me if things have to work out the people who can make a real difference is the Chain Pharmacies, they should also come forward with recommendation to our findings, I am sure this will make a true impact on NABP. Hello knock,
I am one of the silent person, who read these threads. I have only one question. Does NABP think seriously on this matter? And if yes, then when will it put any action? When will we all expect the positive answer? ![]() Thanks. |

Hi All,
I am writing to express my appreciation for the representatives of the Foreign Pharmacists who travelled thousands of miles to Baltimore to discuss our concern with NABP's representatives. They sacrificed their time, energy and money for the good cause. They are courageous enough to face the board members and explain to them the problems foreign pharmacists are facing to get their FPGEE certificate. They already laid the foundation and it is up to the remaining members and supporters to try to communicate with the Board and other stakeholders. We have to stay active and strong in order to bring change for the beeter of all. Congrats again for those who did a great job. Yashak - Last edited by knok : 05-24-2008 at 01:16 AM. |
