Hi erica1,
Thank you for sharing; the information is quite valuable and helpful. If it is okay with you, could you please share following information with me? I was wondering how long has your friend worked for Wal-Mart. What did he say about Wal-Mart in terms of the learning environment? Did your friend sign a contract with Wal-Mart? If he did, what was the term of the contract? Thanks. |

Hi nono03 2003,
Actually, I know that person through some common friend of ours. Now we have moved to California and he has left for New Hampshire. I am not in direct contact with him but when he told me about walmart offer, he was very happy about it and was going to join in march. I will try to get his phone number and talk to him. |

Hi erica1, thank you again for replying my message. I am glad to learn that your friend was excited about the job offer. If it is possible, could you please give me an update after talking with your friend? Any information or help would be very much appreciated! Of course, I will keep you posted about my progress. Thanks!

Hi Erica or other california pharmacist intern seekers:
The thing in California is that one need to have both hospital pharmacy internship and retail pharmacy internship experience to meet the 1500 hours requirement before taking Naplex. Therefore, I am worried about how to find a hospital pharmacist intern position in california. Is it difficult for me to find hospital pharmacist intern position in US if I am a canadian citizen and I only need TN visa to work in US? Is it true that most hospital pharmacist intern positions are given to US pharm d students or graduates? Are most hospital pharmacist intern positions require or prefer one year previous hospital experience ? Do I have to worry if I only had 6 week hospital training experience when I was in pharmacy school 10 years ago? I am a canadian citizen and I just found out I don't need H1B, and all I need is a TN work visa to work in US. In oder to obtain a TN work visa, all I need is to ask the US hospital employer to write a letter to explain to the custom that I have a job offer ( that means all I need is an employment letter from the US hospital employer). Then, I can bring this letter of employment offer from US employer to US custom at the US/ canada border and I can obtain a one year temporary TN work visa on my own immediately at the border. ( That means the TN work visa can be approved and obtained immediately from the custom at the border ). And, this temporary TN work visa is for canadian citizens who are professionals and want to work in US temporary up to one year, and this TN work visa is renewable. . so, do you know or is there anyway you can find out for me whether most US hospital employers are willing to hire me (canadian citizen) who does not need H1B but only need an employment letter from the US hospital employer to explain to the custom so I can obtain my TN work visa at the border myself, who have obtained FPGEC certificate and a valid California pharmacist intern certificate to work as a hospital pharmacist intern in US hospitals? Are most US hospitals willing to hire me as a hospital pharmacist intern if I can get a TN visa? I wonder how previous successful FPGEC holders have found their hospital pharmacist intern position to become a california pharmacist? ( I am more worried about finding hospital pharmacist intern position than community pharmacist intern position ). Any advice would be good. Thanks if you can help me with these questions. Many many thanks to you, as I don't know who I can ask. Wish to pass Last edited by wishtopass : 05-01-2008 at 06:30 AM. |
