Will you be tempted?
Hi guys
Here is my dilema!!! I have got an offer from one company in a pharmacy about 20 mile from where I live, they are offering me $27.50/hour. Another company have offered me a job in a place about 150 miles from where I live(obviously I will have to relocate),they will pay me $41/hour ,plus $30,000 bonus within 2 weeks of starting my intern job, however it is located in the middle of nowhere and is not a very nice place to live. They also want me to sign a 3 years contract with them. I am not sure what to do,I know that knok knew someone who accepted a good pay in a remote place and did regret it later. Your opinions will be much appreciated. |

Right.
Check the co-workers as well. Do they have a real lunch break? What another friend of mine faced was that the break was only on the paper. Actually, she never had time to even go to the bathroom (must sneak out technically) or to drink water at all. Forget about the lunch break. She counted every single day of working there until her H-1 B was expired and then bye, bye.. She went back home already. This one was in a suburban area, in the middle of somewhere. Check the supervisor and the help from technicians too. Another friend of mine started only $8, and then, increased to $13 for Internship. He has a lunch break with the help of 4 technicians when he works. The owner has parties for employees from time to time. This is also in a remote area. There are 4 streets in a very small town but he is happy. Every other weekend, he flies an airplane to play golf with his friends. His reason to be in the USA because of his family obligation, not an economic reason. Both of them received the same payrate. If money is the main reason, you might not make it thorughout your career.
