Clarification.. application got selected in the lottery and case is pending. Batch no-145

Hello Guys. I was also sponsored by Riteaid and my petition was selected in the random selection process. I just checked my status and status is showing approved. My batch number #145 and my assigned area#Ohio.

Now I was wondering to know that when I will get my approval papers from the Riteaid. I have heard that they usually send the approval notice together.Anyone who has some information about that , please let me know. Finally , I would like to thanks in this forum for their useful information and support.

06/12/2008: FY 2009 H-1B Cap Processing Update

The USCIS has kept its origital schedule to mail out receipt notices for selected cases before June 2, 2008. According to the AILA, they indeed completed mailing out of the receipt notices on May 24, 2008. They started returning the loser cases beginning from this week. One bad news is that there will be no "reserve pool" this year as they determined that the initially selected cases meet this year's cap without the reserve.

thanks for the info pharma king. At least I know what to expect..I'm kind of tired already of checking whether I was picked in the lottery or not. Guess I just have to go on with my life...another year of misfortune for me. I've been waiting for 2 years and I still didnt make it..how unluckier can I get.

Would you know if the FPGEC certificate has an expiration date? I took the test last June 2006 and I'm not sure if the certificate will expire soon? Tnx again. Best of luck to those with the same predicament as ours and congratulations to those who were picked in the lottery. It's kind of selfish on my part but I really envy you guys.

FPGEC has no expiry date.but you have to renew the deficiency letter from your state board of pharmacy to reapply next year.by the way, it's not too far,we will reapply within few months,we can afford another year,time runs quickly,pray next year they increase the cap or cancel the foolish system of lottrey.

Pharma king thanks for your useful posts.Could I ask you a question when we should reapply for the next year?.Could we apply for H1B visa with several companies at the same time ?I have heard that some applicants made this and it was ok for them.They got selected several times as they mentioned in other forums.I guess they aren't right.Thanks in advance and good luck for all of us the next time.We are in the same boat.

Thanks Pharma King. I wopuld love to agree with you about next year but I know it is a lie!
To apply next year will be the same try-luck-kind-of-thing. In lottery, there is no garantee that because you are applying the 10th time, so you will surely be picked. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lottery does not work like that! As for increasin the cap, remote chance but they should please!!!! cancel the balloting.

hi lilly,
you may contact your employer again by the end of this year.do not apply to more than one company, otherwise your application will be cancelled if you are picked in the lottery and the application fees will be lost.

jijigirl,you are right,same odds next year,but,what can we do?it is like that,yoy accepted it or not,so,let us keep our hopes big,nobody knows what will happen next year nor what is better for us.

jinggoy,you are welcome,hope we make it next year,do not be sad,that is life,nothing comes easily,no pain no gain,keep the spirit up.
