Well Friends for Pharmacy Interns USCIS grant approval for one year, once one gets the Pharmacist License, extension of approval for three years can be done, so it is not a big deal, just a formality. So don't worry and enjoy your moments....Rammy

Hai Rammy,
I have a query about this visa extension. What happens if someone did not pass the naplex exam within 1 year and in Florida state ,internship is for 2300 hrs that means it will take almost 1 year and 2 months to complete(40hrs a week). So if we don't pass the exam, will the visa be revoked or can the visa be extended?.Please reply. Thank you |

Hi Yann
Thanks for the information. I was sponsored by Walgreens too for Yuma, Arizona. Where will you be working and have you heard anything from your walgreens supervisor and foreign pharmacist coordinator? I`m thinking of going for H1B visa stamping next 1-2 week, has anyone done that yet? When do u guys plan to travel to the US for those outside the US. |

Just when the lawyer applys for extension your recent pay stubs and intern hours finished should be submitted as evidence. Hope this would help you. |

USCIS issues visa based on request in I -129 for a max period of 3 years at a time. H1B could be extended for another 3 years (total 6 years). Your attorney will be indicating the dates of intended employment in I-129. If it is for one year then visa will be for one year. Your attorney can file an extension later once the visa is issued. Maximum allowed period is 6 years. My friend from riteaid told me that his attorney applied for 3 years of intended employment for internship and its approved for 3 years. The years depend on your attorney not on USCIS.
