Anyone familiar with APEC? (Australian Pharmacy Examining Committee)

Hello everyone,
I have a friend who obtained his FPGEC certificate but is having difficulty finding a sponsor in the US. With this regard and the suggestion of some in this forum, he is planning to practice pharmacy in Australia instead. Does anyone know if APEC accredits FPGEC certificate? I read somewhere that their exam is the equivalent of FPGEE and a hearsay that it is recognized but I do not have solid evidence confirming this. Anybody got an idea about this?

Hi Osman,
Yes he passed both FPGEE and TOEFL, but he's not an Aussie passport holder.

SO he is in the same situaton as everyother foreign Pharmacust he would need to contact companies and sit tight till about october time

THE AUSTRALIAN PHARMACY COUNCIL DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE FPGEE CERTIFICATE ,HE WILL DO IT ALL FROM THE BEGINING

The new APC structure is really in need for foreign health professionals and have gotten their immigration department to fast track all the PR applications for them. I learnt it takes 6 months after passing the 2 parts of the first examinations to get your PR stamped on your passport.
There is a condition that if you are over 45 years, you do not qualify to emigrate to Australia except you get a sponsor who can justify while they need an old person.

I have passed one of my papers in stage 1 and have 2nd paper to pass any suggestions for improvement and what books to follow for pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics por favor, El Señor suggest....
