Profile Evaluation For Phd
Hello everyone...Test Magic is really a great forum...By the way i am Thinley and I am planning to apply to Phd programs in the area of Organisational Behavior/Decision Sciences. Here is my brief profile. Soliciting your advice on the same before i apply.
Education: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (top 10 school) MBA (top 5 school) Grades: Got a first class in both degrees. Got good grades in Organisational Behavior and Organisational effectiveness and change courses in MBA Maths Courses: Mathematics I, II, III courses at Electrical Engineering Level (included Differential Equations and Vector Calculus) Electromagnetic Theory I +II Buisness statics and Operations Research Courses at MBA level Gre score: 1490 (quants: 760, verbal: 730) Work experience: 4 years in a financial institution. work profile includes sectoral research. Research experience: Not much academic research but a lot of work in making sectoral reports for top management. Programs sought: duke, cmu, anderson, carlson for decision sciences and michigin, berkely, north carolina, south carolina and other middle rung schools for organisational behavior courses with a focus on decision research. Reccos: Would come from the faculty in OB and economics area from the bschool i did my mba. Could u kindly suggest schools i should realistically target before i start apps. Thinley, you look great on paper. Your grades, scores and work experience will definitely allow you to look at the top echelon of grad schools in OB.
Make sure you add an excellent statement of purpose to your application, and I have no doubts that a solid program will find a place for you very soon. |

Thanks a lot for your best wishes...wishing the same for you..am applying to the following programs...just hope my 760 quants isnt too much of a probelm for OB applications...and my 730 verbal helps me too....suggestions on the list would be a great help...
