Hi, Im in my 2nd year of phd studies and i work on internationalisation of small firms (ie. motivators). I was wondering within the field of international business can anyone help me find particular significant issues on SMEs and internationalisation (ie. questions?). I would like to share ideas with people in the same field as I find it hard just by reading alone. The keyword I use would be: SME, international business, internationalisation, international mode of market entry, international marketing. Thanks!

perhaps my subject is too specific.....but generally isn't anyone working on IB able to give some input on small firm internationalsation?

a liitle question i was asked in my management theories class in the MBA...and i do like is "the cost of not knowing what internationalisation is for SME"...in Colombia, in 1990 the doors were open for intertional trading and many SME had to close because their lack of not knowing what international trading is...

just one idea...

I did my master's thesis exactly on that issue. I can comment a lot about that. Where are you doing your PhD? I really want to continue with my research on that issue at PhD level. Thinking about applying to a University focusing on Internationalization and International entrepreneurship.
