Profile Evaluation Marketing PhD

Any insight you care to offer regarding appropriate Marketing PhD schools for someone with the following qualifications would be greatly appreciated.(I have found specific professors with whom it would be an honor to work, and am curious to hear what you have to say in terms of whether this profile is enough to merit serious consideration.)

GPA: 3.2 in Literature at top 10 public university.
GMAT: 710 (42V,46M)
GRE:1510 (780V,730Q)
Interested in qualitative, consumer psychology research. (willpower, motivation, behavioral theory)

Thank you very much.

3.2 is a pretty low GPA to be applying to a decent PHD Program. You might want to consider getting an masters program in first. Just a thought...

Does it happen that people gain admission with so-called "pretty low gpas"? Specific examples would be helpful.

There should be profiles and results for 2007 (sticky), 2008 and 2009. I do not recall who did/did not gain admission with low gpas, but you should be able to put together a pretty good idea of who gained admissions where with a given profile. Also, there are several marketing threads that may be useful. I know marketing is competitive in a different vein than, say, Finance. However, given that each program admits 2-5 students and often offers outstanding funding packages, it is difficult to say where you would end up with out a more detailed profile. For example, do you have 10 years of marketing exp? Do you have significant research exp in this area? ect ect

Which masters programs would be helpful? Anyone have suggestions for qualitative masters?

I don't think this is low profile. Because thy GMAT and GRE scores are quite good. I hope u can get admission easily.

possible_phd is on the way!
The GMAT and GPA are, in fact, both quite low for top PhD programs.
