Strategy Thread - Profiles and FAQ

Let's start a thread for a specific topic. This is for Strategy (and Strategy Management). Anyone interested in this field are welcome. Let's see how much the competition would be for this year. I start with mine.

Research Interest - (Cross-border) M&A, Integration effect in banking and consumer credit

Undergrad - Int'l business school (GPA 3.4 , 3.7 for Finance...any use?)

Grad - MBA at top 10 US business school, MS (Finance) at top business school, PhD in economics (1st year)

letter of reference - one from MBA, one from MS, and last one from former employer

statement of purpose - done but keep changing it until the last moment

GMAT - 740 (49Q, 41V, 4.5). Poor AWA score, but 5.5 from the previous exam.

Work Experience - 10 years in Banks (Business strategy formulation & execution, financial planning and business evaluation, M&A)

Yes. I'm reapplying to business schools. I think a competition this year would be much tougher than the one in last year. Hopefully, this time I would get successful
