Finance PhD Program Rankings
Hey everyone,
I have noticed that many people keep referring to "top 10/20/50/etc." programs, and I was just wondering if there is actually a ranking of Finance PhD programs available. I know some sites rank programs based on the number of publications by the faculty in a given year... are these the rankings everyone is using? Or is there another ranking list out there? |

Thats kind of what I was thinking. In that case, I would be interested to get peoples opinions about what schools would be around each area of the "rankings" (i.e. the schools that would be around 10-20, 40-50, and around 75th) just for a general reference. I know the rankings would change if you specify certain research areas, so lets just with general quality of the programs.

In my opinion for Finance these are the top (in no particular order):
Stanford, UCLA, Chicago, NYU, Wharton, Harvard (Biz econ), MIT, and perhaps the econ program at Princeton specializing in financial econ. After these, there are a bunch of schools which are great: Duke, Northwestern, UNC, Texas and other similar schools. Good luck |
