International finance is probably more common in econ departments and PhD programs than it is in finance programs, and you would probably be better off looking at those. Finance departments and PhD programs tend to concentrate on asset pricing, corporate finance and financial econometrics.

Basically international finance as defined by JEL category F3
"Covers studies about issues related to international finance, including the determinants of foreign exchange rates, foreign exchange reserves, international monetary arrangements (exchange rate regimes) and institutions (for example the IMF or the World Bank), international lending, foreign aid, and the financial aspects of integration (for example EMU)." For the most part it is considered within economics to be closely related to international macro and monetary and banking and because of that it is mostly done by macro, banking and monetary economists. There is some use of corporate finance and derivatives pricing techniques in international finance, but for the most part those publishing in it tend to come from econ departments, not finance departments. |
