profile evaluation - finance

hello,

I will start a PhD next year. Currently I am studying in Europe.

Undergraduate: engineering from top school in country, average scores
MBA from top school in country, top 5% GPA
Research Master in Finance from a top school in Europe, top 5% GPA with A's in math and statistics courses
GMAT: 750

Reference Letters: one from a well known finance professor at my current school
two from my MBA schools, one form a finance professor (Vice-Rector) and one from an econ professor (Dean) All excellent letters.

Do I have a shot at top schools? (Harvard, Berkeley, Kellogg, Stern) What schools would you advice? I want to work on corp fin.

Thanks in advance

Would you mind to say more details about your current program in Europe and your reference letters? In Finance, especially in top schools, refrences are everything.

What particular information do you want?

I can't give the name of the school but it is one of the 6 7 schools listed in W.P. Carey's list

The one reference from well known professor is about my research potential, the rest is about academic performance

any suggestions?

If you really have a well known professor, talk to him and ask his advice about your school list He knows far more things than us in application~

PS: If you only apply for Finance, please make some safeties. The admission in Finance especially the tops are always very random and hard to predict, so please hedge yourself with some lower ranked programs match your interest Hope those input will help~

You have good chance at Top 10. Between 10-20 admission is almost sure. Aplly for 6 schools in Top 10 and 4 schools between 10-20.
