Things will pick up I'm sure. I did hear that applications were down last year and expected to be down again this year. So there may just be less people applying.
Til now I always got by on my own
I never really cared until I met you...
I bet the US especially will see a decrease in applications. A decrease in US students because of the strong economy and a tax bill that is going through congress right now that would make grad students pay much more in taxes and not be able to deduct interest on student loans. Across all college programs , the US saw a decrease in international students for the first time in decades. I've heard the growing strength of international schools as well as the anti-immigrant sentimant by the current administration as the reasons why. As a matter of fact an increasing number of US students are applying to international universities.
Canadian universities post large gains in international applications
Are there anyone who applied to the University of Arkansas Marketing Ph.D. program?
I am the one who applied for the program.
It would be great to share an information regarding the further steps of the admission process.
In brief, I haven't heard anything from the University of Arkansas up until now.
Hope to reach anyone who is currently on the admission process at UofArkansas.
So, if you still have applications to send, focus on that. If applications are concluded, be ready in case there is any surprise, but do your best to try to enjoy your time doing something good, relax a little. Because soon the whole situation is expected to become a long and stressful rollercoaster.
Good luck everyone. Checking in for accounting. I’ve submitted most of my applications for the dec 15th deadline but I have a few more that aren’t due until January so I’ll submit around Christmas. I’m getting nervous to get everything in and hear back. Schools start moving right when busy season at work hits and that’s not a conversation I’m looking forward to.
Good Luck to all applicants from me too. I have finished applications to my shortlisted schools with Dec 15th deadline and a few with Jan first week deadline. Applications are time consuming in researching faculty and refining the SoP - any tips to handle this are most welcome. Also see my savings take a dip with these app fee, GMAT and TOEFL official score requirements.
Hoping for the best.
