felixn
Hello y'all. I'm an MBA student who is finding myself interested in academic research and a career in academia, and I would love to have your comments on my chance of getting into a school. Test Scores (GMAT/GRE): 760 (Q51 V42) Undegrad GPA: 3.3/4.0 from a business school in Southeast Asia (seems low, but grading is harder in my country) Graduate GPA: MBA in Marketing Research from a Big 10 school, current GPA: 3.9 Research Experience: senior thesis in undergrad, some school projects, nothing concrete. Hope I can get some chance this semester. Teaching Experience: 2 semester (in Stat) Work Experience: 3 years (Product Management + Innovation) Concentration Applying to: Marketing (Quant or Strategy) Number of programs planned to apply to: 10 Dream Schools: Northwestern, CMU, UT Austin, USC Target Schools: OSU, UW Madison, U Pitts, Georgia State, Univ Houston, IU Kelley Other Questions: What made you want to pursue a PhD? I joined some PhD Seminars and was enthralled by the researches going on in the field. I also prefer the relative freedom to explore new things of academia. Questions or concerns you have about your profile? Not much research exp, weak UG GPA score. Any additional specific questions you may have: I would love to know which are the best schools for some one interested in online marketing analytics
