Has anyone heard from NYU Stern; especially Finance programme? This waiting is such an annoying process .

They said the final decisions would be made by mid-March.

Did you read it on their webpage? I was looking to previous year's gradcafe.com entries and I think they admit a handful of people first and then send rejections a couple of weeks later.. Well, we'll see... Best of luck by the way

For Economics, I called them and they have not reached final decisions yet, but they have a short list with their top 25 potential candidates and the secretary was kind enough to tell me I was not on it. Maybe they have the same for Finance; try calling on Monday.

For the econ department a list of 25 potential candidates isn't so short - they only accept one or two right? Guess I'll call on Monday to see if I'm still on it!

Well it seems short when you are not on it!! I thought 2 -4 but still many others would go to top 5 graduate schools, so I guess they have a Relatively big waitlist.

Somewhere on their website they mention that for the Finance programme they admit 4-6 people.

That's what they told me. Since it's a business school, however, they could be conducting interviews or giving phone calls much earlier.
