My GPA isn't stellar, but I've done well in select courses, and I have a strong research background. What are my chances at some of the PhD programs in marketing? I know Harvard and Chicago would be really a stretch (for anyone!). But what about Cornell? Minnesota? Washington? Indiana? Yale? Others?
Thanks!!

Some of the second set of schools that you mentioned such as Washington, Minnesota, Indiana should be very doable for you. You have brand reputed colleges on your record and that's a big plus. If you can get great recommendations from your profs at these schools, you stand a strong chance at all of these places and even at some of the other ones about which you might be less sure such as Yale, Chicago, etc.
Just check that the GRE is accepted at all of the places you want to apply to. Some Mktg programs might want the GMAT.
