Well some schools accept applications that doesn't hold master's degree.
You have to search and find them.

Good luck,

Most schools usually do not require a MS degree but usually, a MS degree or some MS coursework at least shows that you can handle a degree of graduate study...

I agree. Most schools definitely consider all applications even if you don't have a Master's Degree. Having a Master's Degree makes you that much more competitive, but I honestly think these programs place a higher emphasis on your GMAT scores. In other words, I truly believe a high GMAT score person with no Masters Degree would beat out a lower GMAT score person with a Masters Degree. This is personal opinion obviously.

And is it true that it is much more easier to enroll into PhD program?

Well, I think PhD is more competitive since it provides generous funds and enroll just a few students.

I agree that a Master's degree in quantitative fields concretely demonstrates that you are sufficiently intelligent to handle complex research. If you can show this in other ways, that would be fine, of course. On the other hand, high GMAT score is not really a good indicator of your intellectual capacity. Hence, most schools would only see if you score above a certain minimum (in their minds). Plus, business schools enjoy boasting the profile of their incoming doctoral or even MBA students; what better way is there other than showing high average GMAT scores?

You mean easier than MBA programs? PhD programmes in business/management are significantly more competitive. And I am not talking about just the difference in the mean GMAT scores, which are merely one aspect of the admission criteria.

I got into a PhD program without one. So a short answer, a Master degree is not a must-have.
