Business Econ

At a business school, such as HBS, to get a Business Econ Phd, how much math is needed on your transcript?

I know they accept less than the econ dept. but what are the other differences?

The usual, Calculus, Multivariate Calculus, Honors Calculus if you have any, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis etc. Not to mention a bit of Statistics.

Can you elaborate a little? What "name" should I be searching under for a Business Econ/ Finance program.

I love Econ, but the business finance side. I've looked at Econ programs and in all honesty the are a little more rigorous that what I want to do. (I'm a 33 yr old mom of 4 having taken Calc and stats some 14 yrs ago, plus quantitative methods 7 yrs ago, solid understanding was made. I'm not insane enough to attempt straight math grad course work, application based courses should not be a problem for me. I tend to "get" application more than straight theory.)

goal - teach Comm Coll so I'm not looking for la creme de la creme and move to a small univ as I am in the final stages of the doctoral program. Or possibly into the political side of education.
