a huge problem

This is what is happening ... I called COBA admissions office and they informed me that the (parent) graduate school admissions depatment needs to approve my transcripts as official before COBA secretary sends my application package to the Finance PhD admissions committee - the program that I applied to. The COBA people I called also informed me that the committee will be reviewing applications on Friday, Feb 8 and the next round of talk among the committee will be around the end of March or the begining of May - which I think is out of question if I want to get funding.

I then called the (parent) graduate school to ask them about my transcripts. They said they are working on lots of application materials as we spoke but not specifically on mine. I then requested if they could put my file in front of the quee which they refused. As such, my file may not even get to the admission committee.

What in the world can I do? And this is a school I have the best shot.

Umm, why would they need to approve your transcript as official? Did you submit a photocopy or a scanned copy?
