I also got UIUC rejection email, but I was expecting this. I have not heard from OSU, but I am certain they already have their people picked. Don't sweat it, these places have anywhere from 30-50 perfectly qualified people ready to attend their programs. It then becomes flat out luck if you are chosen or not. It is like winning the lottery in some ways.

from my point of view.. it seems they are still screening the applicants. There are schools that are taking it easy.. since they know that many people are allocating to places with higher ranking.

I have seen a rochester admit on gradcafe. Apparently she/he got a phone interview with the graduate coordinator.
