Actually, quite a few. But it's a long story why i need an "official" accept from Yale. Very long.

I asked one prof at Yale marketing back in December, and they said they are aiming to admit just one person this year. It's a very seclusive program!!!

so it's very unlikely you are gonna get in.. take an offer from the other schools.. or try to scare them... saying that you want to go to Yale but you are tired of the waiting....

And just a reminder not to use TM to pressure people into making decisions before they are ready. It's common courtesy to turn down a spot as soon as you are sure you don't want it, but it can take time to visit and gather the other information you need to be sure. And it's also common courtesy to respect people who are making major decisions, and not to pressure them.

Why did you apply there in the first place if you don't want in? I'd say is better to be straightforward with them.

And, fred, lots of people apply to places they don't want in. Safety schools, etc, whatever.

I contacted the yale professors back in december too...I wish I had known they were only taking 1 student this yr--I'd of not applied and saved that steep application fee...
