Over at TheGradCafe results, I am seeing a lot of rejects via website for UT Austin's PhD in IROM program. I just logged onto the website and have no notification that I've been rejected. I have heard nothing from the school yet (no phone calls or interviews or e-mails).

Is this a good sign, or is UT Austin just taking their time submitting their rejects via the website?

I posted the same question yesterday about my marketing results--thegradcafe is showing rejections via postal mail from michigan and email rejections from univ of maryland...but it's been all quiet for me.

Does this mean that the poster above and I are on the shortlist? Or are the programs just taking their time with the rejections?

I guess you are on the waitlist.

IROM every year admits up to 9 applicants.. taken into account that there are 3 majors (IS, RM, OM) .. my guess is they offer sequentially to 3 students, then other 3 etc.

ok, this has happened with Stern for me as well. No notifications nothing for me but lots and lots of notifications of Stern on gradcafe I see.

but you were interviewed...

anyway what I have learned from this experience is that many programs at BS are very small... for example RM at IROM ... 2-3 students a year...

Stern takes 3 students every year. Do I have a chance? No. They interviewed almost 2 weeks ago.
